Tropical Storm Alvin

A tropical storm formed in the eastern Pacific has become the first named storm of the 2025 season.

Tropical Storm Alvin is currently producing large swells that are expected to impact the coasts of west-central and southwestern Mexico, as well as the southern Baja California peninsula over the next few days.

According to the National Hurricane Center, the storm will gradually weaken and is likely to degenerate by Saturday.

At MAPTYCS®, we are actively monitoring Alvin and providing real-time updates to help our clients understand and assess the potential risk to their portfolios.

If you need support to identify exposures and risk during this early stage of the season, we’re here to help.
