Severe Convective Storm (SCS) Events on the Rise

In 2023, the U.S. saw a record 28 weather events causing over $1 billion in damage, primarily due to severe convective storms (SCS), which often include hail. The increase in SCS-related losses is attributed to changing weather patterns, expanding development into new areas, and the inclusion of expensive properties like solar arrays.

MAPTYCS® helps risk professionals assess and mitigate exposures to changing climate risks, like SCS.

MAPTYCS® will be at RIMS (Risk and Insurance Management Society, Inc.) Riskworld 2024 in San Diego this May.Please reach out via LinkedIn messaging, or directly to noahbarrengos@maptycs.com to schedule a meeting time. We look forward to seeing you there!
